Dear friends and clients,
Today (Tuesday, March 20, 2018) is the 6-month mark after Hurricane Maria ravaged our island.
If there is one thing we’ve learned during these months after this catastrophic event, it is that our people have the ability to join their efforts to create self-management strategies for our island’s recovery. Although our company is focused in the present and future, CEFI has joined the relief efforts for Puerto Rico over the last six months through various initiatives:
Food shipments from Ft. Lauderdale to Aguadilla/Isabela and Isla Grande, and donations to the nonprofit entities associated with United for Puerto Rico, Habitat for Humanity of Puerto Rico, and Feeding Children Everywhere.
We know that combining the efforts from the private sector, our citizens, our communities, and nonprofit institutions is key to transform and keep a high morale in our island. Having witnessed these joint efforts among Puerto Ricans, we are even prouder to be an entirely local company and to support our island’s economy.
Since last September 20, we have financed more than $30-million in commercial equipment that is essential for the growth of Puerto Rican enterprises. We thank you for the trust you have placed in CEFI and for considering us one of your partners and allies in the recovery and/or transformation of your enterprises.
We are aware that there is a long road ahead of us to rebuild our island at a governmental level. As part of the private sector, we want you to know we are here for you. If you are working on community initiatives for recovery post-Hurricane Maria, please come to us. We would love to be of help.
